Magic Loop 101 - A Virtual Workshop - March 19th
Friday, March 19th, from 2:00 pm to 3:00pm
Let’s get started in magic loop knitting! Join Erin Rees for this fun and easy beginner class to learn the basics of the magic loop method for knitting a small circumference in the round with a long circular cable. This is a great technique to have in your back pocket if you want to knit smaller projects such as socks or mitts without having to use double pointed needles. We will knit a simple mug cozy to practice the technique.
Skills required: Know how to cast on, knit, purl, basic increase and decrease
Supplies:
- free pattern for a mug cozy (link will be provided)
- worsted weight yarn
- US 7 32-inch circular needles
- tape measure

Pre-work: Please arrive to class with 52 stitches cast on to your needles. You may also want to do a gauge swatch to check your gauge before class. This is highly recommended.
