Monarch Knitting seeks an outgoing, self-motivated, detail-oriented individual to join their team as the Assistant Manager.

Together with the store manager and owner, this individual will collaborate on the store’s operation, team management, and provide outstanding customer service for Monarch’s clientele. This role will require collaboration, attention to detail, good communication, enthusiasm for the clients, and their passion for knitting.

In the Assistant Manager role, applicants must have a solid knowledge of knitting, be comfortable conversing with customers who may have a wide variety of knitting experiences, and maintain an outgoing and positive demeanor through all their interactions at the store.

The individual will report to the Store Manager and the Owner about all items related to their work.

Qualifications, Experience, and Tasks Required:

  • Experience with knitting to a degree that allows the individual to provide good customer service to knitters of most levels
  • Experience in managing people in a positive and constructive manner
  • Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, manage, and complete projects on deadline
  • A meticulous skill set that will assist in keeping the store looking sharp and backstock organized
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale system
  • Retail experience preferred
  • Maintaining touch with industry trends that can help to keep the store relevant and engaging for customers.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

The candidate will need to be able to work 24 – 30 hours per week, with the ability to work on Saturdays.
