A Virtual Workshop with Amy Odin, KnitChats
Friday, February 25th from 11:00am to noon

It’s easier than you think! Knitting charts are graphic representations of a knitted pattern. It is an abbreviated form of a pattern that eliminates the need for lengthy text instructions. Charts show us what a knitted piece will look like, which helps us work our projects more easily and identify errors more quickly. Join Amy Odin, teacher, designer and KnitChats Coach as she teaches you how to read charts for basic knit and purl patterns, simple lace and cables. While reviewing examples, Amy will show you how to translate chart symbols, where to begin knitting on a chart, which directions to move, and how to identify charts for projects worked flat and in the round. You’ll also be able to understand how pattern repeats are illustrated. With this new skill, you will have access to more patterns than ever!
