Lace Knitting for Beginners - A Virtual Workshop - February 15th
Monday, February 15th, from 12:30pm to 2:00pm
Are you afraid to try lace knitting? If that’s the case, let me take the mystery out of this knitting style which some consider to be the pinnacle of the craft! In this class I will show you how to knit the Kitty B Scarf, designed by me, Amy Odin - teacher and KnitChats Coach. Using common increases and decreases, you’ll discover how easy and fun it is to make lace. I’ll give you an introduction to reading lace charts, give you tips on how to keep track of your rows and teach you how to “read your knitting”. We’ll also discuss the importance of life-lines and what to do if you make a mistake. Finally, we will talk about the most important part of lace knitting... blocking. Your beautiful stitches will sing after this class.
