Vaike

Vaike has been on my favorites list since 2021, but I have never gotten around to knitting it. With our delivery of Plucky Knitter's new base Legacy Sport, this shawl has jumped on my needles, and I could not be more pleased. Vaike means calm and silence in Estonian, and as Isabel Kraemer says, it is "the perfect name for the mediative effect that you get when knitting the rhythmic pattern of this shawl." This shawl is a stunner, and the stitch definition of Legacy Sport is making the pattern pop! With simple cables, stockinette, increases, and 3 x 1 ribbing, this shawl will be a lovely project for my fall wardrobe.
