We were blown away by the number of thoughtful responses, and we're thrilled to share a few highlights and insights. Your feedback is already helping us shape the way we stock tools, organize the shop, and dream up new ways to make your crafting experience even better.
Metal vs. Wood? Nearly Split!
Crafters are split almost evenly between loving the smooth glide of metal needles and the grippy warmth of wood. Many of you said your preference depends on the project or yarn type. Some even swap between the two within the same piece!
Interchangeables Reign Supreme
Interchangeable needle sets came out on top, especially for their versatility and travel-friendly nature. Fixed circulars were a strong runner-up, and straights had a few loyal fans too.
When It Comes to Knitting in the Round...
Double-pointed needles (DPNs) remain a favorite for small circumferences, but Magic Loop is closing in fast. Many of you use 9" circulars or two 16" needles depending on the project.
Favorite Brands? ChiaoGoo Leads the Pack
ChiaoGoo was the most-mentioned brand overall, followed by Knitter's Pride Dreamz and Addi. Lykke and Tulip also had their champions. We hear you and plan to keep (or expand!) these offerings.
Hook Preferences & Crochet Favorites
Inline hooks like Susan Bates and ergonomic styles like Clover Amour were the top choices for crocheters. Hook size "G" was most common, but responses ranged from tiny to chunky!
Storage: The Ongoing Struggle
Most of you are somewhere in between organized bliss and creative chaos. We loved hearing about your systems: zip pouches, Della Q Rolls, accordion files, binders, drawers, vases, and even dental cabinets! Still, many of you are searching for that perfect solution, especially one that works for both knitting needles and crochet hooks.
Storage: What You Dream Of...
The ideal needle/hook storage? Portable, labeled, compact but roomy, beautiful and functional. Some of you want wall-mounted hangers, some dream of toolboxes, and some just want a magical system that keeps track of what's in use and what's missing (we're with you on that one!).
