Spotlight on: The Maker's Caddy

Some bags just get it — and the Maker’s Caddy is one of them.

Originally included in our Advent Calendar, this little tote quickly became a favorite among subscribers (and in my own daily life). I loved it so much that I now reach for it almost every single day, whether I’m heading out the door or settling in for a cozy afternoon of making at home.

What makes it so special is how effortlessly it holds everything without feeling bulky or chaotic. The structured, stand-open shape means I can actually see what’s inside (no more digging!), and the pockets keep all those small but important items right where I need them.

What I Carry Inside My Maker’s Caddy

Here’s a peek at what typically lives in mine:

  • My organizer / calendar - I never leave the house without it! I love my Paper Republic system.

  • A small knitting project - or the start of a project

  • A needlepoint project - yes, it happily holds both!

  • A Walker zippered pouch filled with accessories  - extra yarn bits, small tools, and essentials

  • A glasses case -  always within reach

  • Hand creams - because dry hands are the enemy of happy knitting

  • Pen case - I picked up a felted one years ago and it's perfect for this caddy

  • My favorite notions holder

  • Earbud case

  • A water cup — it even fits this adorable one that was a gift from my dear pet sitter

Despite carrying so much, the Maker’s Caddy never feels overstuffed. The removable insert makes it easy to customize depending on the day, sometimes it’s all about projects, other days it’s more of a creative catch-all.

Why I Love It

It’s thoughtful, practical, and designed for makers who need help organizing and I’m so happy we can now offer it in the shop for everyone who missed it during Advent.

If you’re looking for a beautiful way to keep your projects and tools together, this just might become your new favorite bag too!
