I am back for part 2 of my fall knitting list!
Siri Cardigan Solo by Lene Holme Samsøe - I really like the all-over texture with just a few cables at the button band and sleeve. Wouldn't this look great over a cute shirt and jeans? I am thinking I might knit this in Kelbourne Woolens Scout as it is soft but holds pattern and texture well.
Jingle Sweater by Isabell Kraemer - This sweater is on the list because I am going to knit it in November as part of our Holiday Sweater Along. It doesn't scream Christmas so that I can wear it at other times of the year. One of the project pages shows it knit in mYak Lace held double, and I am so tempted to copy her and knit it in desert and dusty pink.
Le Carre by Gabi Fontana - Gabi had this fabulous wrap on at the mYak retreat this summer and I will be stocking the yarn (mYak Ra-Ku Fiocco Di Cashmere Lace) for the project soon. It is such an elegant piece that will work in any season, as you can drape it over your shoulders or wind it around your neck like a cowl. While the pink is cute, I am going to knit it in a cream and light grey combination. I want it to go with everything!
BiRTHDAY 61 sweater by Annestrick - This sweater was just released and went to the top of my list. It is just what I love in a sweater, classic, wearable and It just caught my eye yesterday so I am going to have to do something thinking about my yarn choice!
Do not forget to add what is on your fall knitting list in the comments. We will put out a community post next week; what better way to gain inspiration than from your fellow knitters?
I’m still working on Home Base sweater, having taken a couple of weeks off to knit some baby things for friends. Also took a while to get started in earnest as I had to frog the first two attempts! It’s looking pretty good now, about 3/4 finished. I keep reminding myself that mistakes are a sign that it’s hand knit and are to be admired!
