Learn to Knit Toe-Up Socks with the DRK Everyday Sock - May 3rd, 10th and 17th

Have you always wanted to knit a pair of socks for yourself or someone special? Join us for the three-part workshop where Koryn will break down the process of knitting socks toe-up using the magic loop method. Andrea Mowry's DRK Everyday socks are the perfect jumping-off point. We will introduce magic loop knitting, the Turkish cast-on, the Fleegle Heel, increases, decreases, and binding off.  The beauty of toe-up socks is trying them on as you go, making sizing a breeze.  Be careful; once you tackle your first sock, you will become a sock-knitting addict!  

materials:

• DRK Everyday Socks pattern
• Fingering weight yarn appropriate for socks. You can either do a one-color sock or pick a contrast out for the ribbing, heel and toe.  Drop by the shop to make your selection before class!
• US 1 (2.25mm) 32-inch knitting needles
• stitch markers
• tape measure
• tapestry needle
• scissors
