Knit your First Sweater - Monday Sweater Workshop - April 18th to May 23rd

Are you ready to knit your first sweater? PetiteKnit’s Monday Sweater is a perfect springboard into the world of sweater knitting! This six-part workshop will cover gauge, size selection, best practices for sweater knitting, yoke construction, sleeve separation, knitting of body and sleeves, and finishing. This will be a fun workshop/knitting group round table, with Molly and Catherine as your guides. You will also receive printed materials to take home for reference and support between classes. Once you master these basic skills, you can tackle any sweater project.
 
Skills taught in this class:

• Gauge swatching
• Reading a sweater pattern
• Setting up markers for raglan increases
• Separating the sleeves from the body
• Picking up stitches and knitting sleeves
• Basic sweater blocking

Skill level:  Advanced beginner. 

Supplies: 
Monday Sweater pattern, yarn, knitting needles, stitch markers, waste yarn or TKB cords, scissors, and tapestry needle.  
 
Prework: 
After signing up for the class, please come into the shop to make your yarn selection and purchase supplies.  Then, knit a gauge swatch of at least 4inches x 4 inches. Please block your swatch and bring it with you to the first class meeting. 

Full payment is needed to reserve your space. Cancellations must be made five days before the class. All refunds are given as store credit only. If we cancel the class for any reason, you will receive a full refund. Please note that any supplies or homework are listed under the class description. No Monarch Rewards Points can be used to pay for a class.
