Our wonderful friends from Hudson + West Co. have released a new collection, Deep Winter 2021: Colorwork Vol. 2. There’s something in this collection for everyone at every step of their colorwork journey, including mosaic knitting, stranded knitting, steeking, and even double knitting!
How about this darling trio of hats and mittens? Such a fun way to play with color! Hats top to bottom: Ryder, Logan, and Collins. The fun mitten pattern comes as a set with the Logan hat.
The garments of this collection are equally intriguing with their colorwork patterning. Beginning at left, Rhys by Cheryl Toy knocks it out of the park with its swoncho shape, bold and modern yoke motif, and overall cozy feel.
In the center we have one of my favorites: Warren by co-founder Sloane Rosenthal. Don't let the colorwork fool you- it looks like standard stranded knit, but it's actually mosaic knitting, worked back and forth with one color at a time. I just love that it has a generous turtleneck, too!
Far left, we have the Harris Cardigan by co-founder Meghan Babin. While this cardigan was inspired by menswear, it’s intended for anyone and everyone who loves a beautiful, super wearable, and cozy cardigan.
And lastly but not least, we have the stunning Penn shawl by Jen Peck. Deceptively simple, you begin with one stitch and knit you way with beautiful bands of fun mosaic patterns sprinkled throughout as you shape into this stunning asymmetrical shawl. The perfect pattern for anyone who has never tried mosaic knitting before.
We are completely smitten with this beautiful, wearable, and laid back collection of colorwork knits and we hope you'll find something, too! Visit us in store to see & squish the collection or see more of Hudson + West online here.
